About ResizeImageTool

ResizeImageTool is a free image resizer built for one job: getting a photo to exactly the size a form, platform or printer asks for. That might be under 20 KB for an exam signature, 1080 × 1080 pixels for a post, or 2 × 2 inches for a passport photo.

How it works

All processing happens in your web browser. When you choose an image, it is decoded, resized and compressed on your device and offered back to you as a download. The image is not sent to us or to anyone else.

To hit a file-size target, the tool tries different compression levels and keeps the highest quality that fits. If that is not enough, it reduces the dimensions step by step and tells you when it did.

Accuracy of form requirements

Pages for exam and ID forms list the requirements commonly published for those forms. Rules change between notices, so each page points you back to the official notification. If you spot an outdated requirement, please let us know via the contact address on the privacy page.
