Minimum size50 KB (51,200 bytes, which passes either way of counting)

    How to use it

    1. Choose or drop your photo.
    2. The tool raises it to just over 50 KB.
    3. Download it and upload it to your form.

How the file gets to 50 KB

The photo is saved at maximum JPG quality first, which often adds enough size on its own. If it is still under 50 KB, the tool adds a hidden comment block to the file. Every image viewer skips that block, so the picture is pixel for pixel the same.

The minimum is counted as 51,200 bytes (50 × 1024), so the file passes whether the website counts a kilobyte as 1000 or 1024 bytes.

    Questions

My form wants the photo between 50 KB and 100 KB. Can this do that?

Yes. Choose the "50 to 100 KB" preset above the drop area, or use the 50 KB to 100 KB page.

Is a padded file safe to upload?

Yes. The comment block is part of the JPG standard and contains only empty bytes. It does not carry any hidden content.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. The resizing runs inside your browser with JavaScript, so the image never leaves your device. Once the page has loaded, resizing keeps working even if you go offline.
