How to use it
- Choose or drop one or more photos.
- Each file is saved under 2 MB at the best quality that fits.
- Download them one by one, or all together as a ZIP.
Getting under 2 MB without visible loss
A 2 MB limit is common on job sites, rental and visa applications, and website contact forms. At 2 MB there is plenty of room for a sharp, full-size photo: the tool usually only needs to lower the JPG quality slightly, which you will not notice on screen.
PNG files cannot be compressed by lowering quality, so when a PNG is over the limit the tool saves it as a JPG. If you need to keep PNG, choose it under Format and the tool will reduce the dimensions instead.
Questions
Is 2 MB counted as 2000 KB or 2048 KB?
It depends on the website. The tool keeps the file at or below 2,000,000 bytes, which is under the limit either way.
Can I resize many photos at once?
Yes. Select or drop as many as you like. Each one is processed on your device, and a "Download all as ZIP" button appears when two or more are ready.
Will the photo keep its location data?
No. Saving through the browser removes EXIF metadata, including GPS location and camera details. That is usually what you want before sharing a photo.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The resizing runs inside your browser with JavaScript, so the image never leaves your device. Once the page has loaded, resizing keeps working even if you go offline.
