    Getting the Kindle eBook cover size right

    Amazon recommends a 1:1.6 shape for eBook covers, with 2560 pixels on the long side. Covers in other shapes get white bars or are cropped in the store.

    This page is for eBook covers only. Paperback covers need a full wrap with spine and bleed, sized from your page count.

    Is my photo uploaded to a server?

    No. The resizing runs inside your browser with JavaScript, so the image never leaves your device. Once the page has loaded, resizing keeps working even if you go offline.
