Questions
Why is the signature preset 500 × 160 pixels?
GATE wants the width between 2.75 and 3.75 times the height, within 250 × 80 and 580 × 180 pixels. 500 × 160 is a ratio of 3.1, comfortably inside every limit.
My file comes out smaller than the minimum. What happens?
Where there is a minimum, the tool first saves at top quality and then adds padding data that image viewers ignore, so the picture is unchanged and the file meets the minimum.
How accurate are these requirements?
Taken from the official notice or government page listed below. Rules can change with each new notice, so compare with the official instructions linked on this page.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs in your browser, so your photo and signature never leave your device. That matters for ID documents.
